INTRUDING ON BAX & O’BRIEN:
Springfield Intruder editor/writer/webmaster/cleaning boy Bill Dusty – a.k.a. me – made his first appearance on the legendary Rock 102 morning show, Bax & O’Brien. We talked primarily about blogs and also touched on some topics concerning Springfield. Overall, things appeared to have gone okay – unless some folks are lying to me }:-|

MASON SQUARE LIBRARY CONTINUES ON HOLDING PATTERN:
A vacation week and some busy days on either end of it have resulted in me somehow missing this Masslive podcast from July 24th, 2008, with Masslive senior producer Kristen Beam chatting with Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno about the hot-button issue of the Mason Square Library. Also on the podcast, the two discuss riverfront & neighborhood development in Springfield. Check it our HERE.
PONDERING A GREENER SPRINGFIELD:
Springfield activist and blogger Michaelann Bewsee talks about her experience with the Mayor’s Office as she follows up on an inaugural promise. Read the details HERE.
FULL-TIME INTRUSIONS:
The most difficult part of appearing on Bax & O’Brien was actually getting up in the morning in time to arrive at the station. The big news is, my ordeal with early morning rising should be ending by this October as I am anticipating accepting a severance package from my current place of employ after 22 years of service.
I’ll be spending this fall & winter contemplating my earthly existence while attending classes at STCC (learnin’ media stuff). This will also mean that I’ll have entire days to whip up material for both the Springfield Intruder and our blogging collaborative website, Pioneer Valley Central (pvcentral.net).
