The Springfield City website has posted the job of Chief Financial Officer. Local residents interested in applying for the job should know that this particular job actually does have qualifications, including “BS in accounting or related field, as well as 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing, finance and information systems,” with a MBA or CPA “strongly preferred.”

Applicants have until February 2, 2008, to submit their resume, latter of interest, and references to the Springfield Finanace Control Board. See the job posting for further details.

The Springfield City website sports a new webpage that introduces Mayor Domenic Sarno to the residents of the city. The informative page – which features a hollywood-esque posed picture of Sarno – offers background on the mayor as well as links to his Inaugural Address, press releases, and pages introducing his staff and appointed members of the Community Complaint Review Board.
