Visiting Monson

Monson, Massachusetts, is a town of about 8,000 people (2000 census) nestled in the hinterlands of Western Massachusetts [map], east of the city of Springfield. It was first settled in 1715, and has an Open Town Meeting-style government that is made up of three town selectmen and a town moderator.
