Main St. Improvement Set to Begin

The Springfield City website has posted news that work on Main Street is scheduled to begin this Monday, Aug. 27th, 2007:
“…The project will begin next week [Monday], starting from the railroad arch on the north end of Main Street. Work will begin on one side of the street, with the section opposite the Hippodrome the first to be effected. The work zone will progress on that side of Main Street until complete, and then return to begin on the other side of the street. The project is expected to be complete before the winter months.”
